Suitable empty crates for packing
Bottle remnants, foreign objects or damaged compartments can remain in crates after unpacking. PACKVISION LK inspects empty returnable crates for these faults, as well as crate deformation and damaged handles. As part of the PACKVISION family, it provides inspection results to help keep unsuitable crates out of the production flow before reuse.

Operating principle
Stereo inspection with crate-edge referencing
Two cameras capture the crate and provide depth information for empty crate inspection. Measurement at the crate’s top edge establishes a reference for height checks, while software-supported calibration helps maintain consistent results. The compact inspection bridge includes integrated top illumination and one-sided height adjustment. Optional underfloor illumination improves contrast; FRESNEL extends inspection to crate bottoms and reduces perspective distortion.
