PACKVISION · The system family

Crate inspection with PACKVISION.

Inspect returnable containers, empty crates and full crates.

The PACKVISION family combines camera-based inspection for different tasks along your line: from inspecting returnable containers for unpacking to checking reusable empty crates and fully packed crates.

Depending on the inspection task, one camera is used for 2D inspection or two cameras for 3D STEREO inspection.

What the family has in common

Compact design. Depth perception. Modules to match your task.

01 · Compact design

Inspection in a small footprint.

The compact inspection bridge integrates camera-based inspection directly at the crate conveyor. It makes integration into existing lines with limited space easier and supports retrofitting existing equipment.

02 · Depth perception

Two cameras detect differences in height.

Two views of the same crate: the software compares corresponding image features and derives depth information from the differences in their positions.

Depth information

Height inspection

This makes it possible to detect bottles standing too high or protruding from the crate before the unpacker, for example. No additional ultrasound array is required for these height tasks captured optically.

03 · Modular design

Equipment tailored to your inspection task.

The camera configuration, illumination and additional modules are selected to suit the application. Available options depend on the PACKVISION system.

MONO

One camera for 2D inspection without depth information.

UV illumination

For inspecting UV or fluorescent features.

Underfloor illumination

Light from below supports illumination and contrast.

FRESNEL inspection bridge

Perspective correction for base or edge areas.

Module examples: single camera and UV illumination at the top; underfloor illumination and FRESNEL inspection bridge at the bottom.

The systems

The right inspection at the right point in your line.

LG before the unpacker, LK after the unpacker, VK after the packer: Each system is tailored to the condition of the containers and the inspection task.

LG and LK: STEREO with two cameras as the base configuration. VK: MONO with one camera for 2D inspection; optional STEREO for 3D inspection of bottle heights and bottles sitting too low.

The product pages explain the inspection scope, operating principle and available options for each system.
