Application

Pressure Build-Up for Leak Testing

BBULL UIP is a stand-alone system that prepares filled and closed CO2-containing containers for leak control by building internal pressure. One UIP system is the standard focus; an optional second UIP system can be linked to double throughput where required.

Operating principle

Ultrasonic Sonotrode Contact

Each UIP system includes its own control unit and drives a polished stainless-steel sonotrode installed at the conveyor. The containers are transported in continuous contact with the sonotrode, while wetting nozzles create a water film to improve ultrasonic transfer.

BBULL UIP - Benefits

Benefits

  • Creates internal pressure that makes pressure or liquid loss detectable by downstream inspection systems.
  • Helps prevent leaking containers from moving further through production when combined with suitable control systems.
  • Can double throughput by linking a second UIP system where higher line speed is required.
  • Improves ultrasonic transfer through recommended wetting between container and sonotrode.
  • Supports leak control in lines where pressure or product loss may otherwise appear only later in storage or sales.
BBULL UIP - Features

Features

  • Ultrasonic excitation of CO2-containing products.
  • Polished stainless-steel sonotrode installed as a guide rail at the conveyor.
  • Wetting nozzles above the sonotrode for a continuous water film.
  • Splash-protection enclosure included in the current scope.
  • Counter rail with brushes for guided object transport.
  • Each UIP system includes its own control unit.
